TEAM HEADstrong

The HEADstrong Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization based out of the Philadelphia Metropolitan area that benefits the HEADstrong Foundation, EvanFest, and local individuals and families in need of our support as they battle cancer. The primary goal of this organization is to provide its players with the BEST club lacrosse experience with PLENTY of exposure to college coaches of all levels.

Team HEADstrong is a preeminent U-18 lacrosse organization in Pennsylvania, establishing an unmatched standard of excellence both athletically and academically that will travel extensively to play against the best competition available. HEADstrong identifies, recruits, trains, teaches, and coaches players capable of, but more importantly, committed to playing the sport at its maximum level. The actions we take in attaining these goals are consistent with the highest levels of citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play. Team HEADstrong is as much about the parents as it is about the players. The goal is to take the hard work and passion of committed lacrosse players and reward them with an experience that may not otherwise be available to them, by giving them the opportunity to advance to the next level. In addition to an incredible lacrosse experience, it’s mandatory that players give back to the community and participate in off-field events through the HEADstrong Foundation. As a team member, all players are expected to educate their lacrosse community about the HEADstrong mission.

The HEADstrong Lacrosse Club has grown out of a desire by a group of former college and high school lacrosse players to give back to the lacrosse community of Eastern Pennsylvania, which had given so much to them, their friends, and their families. These individuals have chosen to support The HEADstrong Foundation because it was formed by a passionate division one lacrosse player, Nick Colleluori, while he was dying of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Nick was a undersized player and viewed as somewhat of an underdog throughout his lacrosse career yet always found a way to overcome his size and become a diehard team leader. Nick was known for his “RELENTLESS” style of play, a characteristic adopted by the team.
